Mirupal is an app for learning by looking at art. This page explains what information the app handles and where it goes.
What stays on this device and in your iCloud
The following is saved on this device and is never sent to Mirupal.
When "Back up automatically" is on in Settings › Backup & restore (it starts on, is explained first, and can be turned off there), a backup is kept in your iCloud (your own storage provided by Apple) each time you leave the app. The backup lives only in your iCloud and Mirupal cannot read it. You can bring it back on a new device or after reinstalling, and delete it anytime in Settings.
If backup is off and you delete the app, your records are removed with it. You can also save them to a file yourself (Settings › Backup & restore).
Where it is sent
Audio guides are downloaded from Mirupal's server (Cloudflare Worker). The request only says which audio file is needed; your records, notes and purchase information are not sent (as with any internet connection, the server receives information such as your IP address). Mirupal has no AI chat feature.
Purchase information
Purchases, renewals, cancellations and restores of Mirupal+ are handled by Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes your payment information, and the app does not receive card numbers or similar details. The app checks whether a purchase is active using transactions that Apple has verified.
